Assistant D.A. Schedules Meetings in VBC
Assistant D.A. Randall Gilliam will be at the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department every second and fourth Thursday after General Sessions Court (after the lunch hour) until 4 p.m. He will be available to answer or assist with any criminal issues or procedures.
American Legion Post 207 Meeting in Spencer

Dinner at Fall Creek Falls Community Center
Friday, March 12, 2010 Food will be available beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. $6.00 per plate. Menu: Bar-B-Q Chicken, Green Beans, Corn, Mashed Potatoes, Rolls, and Dessert. Proceeds go to help the Fall Creek Falls Community Center. Given in Memory of Richard Larrimore. No alcohol or drugs permitted.
Fundraiser Supper & Auction
A Taco Salad supper with dessert and drink, $5.00 per person and auction will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, in the Spencer Civic Center with all proceeds going to Van Buren County High School 2010 Project Graduation. Any volunteers or class members who can assist with this fundraiser are asked to call 931-409-2568 or 931-815-8511. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Hopkins Benefit
A Benefit for Johnny Hopkins will be held to help with hospital and medical expenses on March 13, 2010. Serving soup and chili, hot dogs, deserts and drink and more, $5.00 Meal begins at 4:00 and auction
following at 6:00 in the Spencer Civic Center. Bonnie Rigsby and the Hopkins Family will be providing entertainment.
Relay to Host Bingo Night
Relay for Life team "Birthday Brigade" will be hosting a BINGO NIGHT on Friday March 12, 2010 beginning at 6pm, at The Civic Center in Spencer, cards will be a $2 donation each. Spencer Fire and Rescue Annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and Auction
Spencer Fire and Rescue will be holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day benefit on March 13, 2010. Dinner will begin at 4:00 p.m. Auction will begin at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will include: chicken strips/hamburger steak (your choice of meat), French fries, roll, drink, and a dessert. All meals will be $6. Delivery within city limits.

The Van Buren County Rescue Unit will be holding a breakfast on March 20, 2010, in the Spencer Civic Center starting at 6:00 a.m. serving sausage, bacon, eggs, gravy and biscuits with all the fixings. Come out and support your local Rescue Unit!
